Horse Days
by Bailey - 3rd Grade
I like horses
I run them in a rodeo.
We run different courses,
we run them in a show.
My horse's name is Zip
the barrels he runs,
through like a whip
we have lots of fun.
We run the poles
like there's no end
it hurts my soles
near the bend.
We like to do goat tying
in the sun.
Our strings were good tying
the goat strings are very fun.
Roping is so cool
it is so new to me.
It takes over school
you should try then you'll see.

I dislike to gather bulls
I go out early in the day.
I get a sandwich out of my saddlebag that makes me full.
We feed the bulls hay.
We doctor foot rot and pink eye
the shot makes them mad.
There's a bird in the sky
the bull chases my Dad.

Sunrise, Sunset
by Emma - 6th Grade
Sunrise, Sunset
every day is gone.
I want a day I haven't met
in waiting for a new dawn.
Sunrise, Sunset
It's a new day
I need a night I won't forget
I have nothing I need to say.
Sunrise, Sunset
It's a beautiful night
It's a night I won't regret
just look at that moonlight.
Sunrise, Sunset
see that falling star
I have no debt
I can see Mars.
Sunrise, Sunset
The sky is so clear
I must not fret
the end is near.
