Red Lodge, MT - Fans of traditional Western music will have to search no further than "Montana's Singing Cowboy," TJ Casey.

A horse trainer by trade, a Western singer/songwriter and cowboy poet by natural extension, Casey sings Western originals that

sound like selections from the classic American songbook.

When performing live - often backed by the Roughriders - he works in a few standards, but his original songs will soon seem as familiar

as "Old Paint" or "Home on the Range." If my experience is universal, songs like "Sleepin' Out Under the Stars" and "Trickling Water"

will remain in your head for days after hearing them - a quality that no doubt added to the later song, sending it to the top five play

list for Western Music nationally last month.

TJ Casey and the Roughriders will perform this Saturday, March 20, at the Round Barn in Red Lodge. The Roughriders are familiar

to western music fans as two-thirds of Saddlebags, Alice Hanks on upright bass and vocals and Jim McMillan on lead guitar.
