they live in their tanks not in town.

Once I had a cat name Kirby

he was a funny cat

we had to put him to sleep

and that was the end of that.

The Coyote's Howl

Kyle - 5th grade

The coyote is a wild dog.

They can be good and bad.

They may take cattle.

and when they do, you get mad.

When the coyote howls...

it's a very nice sound,

and many people...

find them with blood hounds.

Their eyes glow in the night.

They head for the den when the sun is raised,

and when the morning comes

the sun is set ablaze.

As the coyotes travel...

you hear an eagle scream.

It's hot under the desert sun

then you see a rattler slither into the hills' seam.

And when night falls...

you'll hear a coyote pair or two.

and when the journeys over,

you'll hear their mournful cry - yip yip ooowww.

Work to Do

Kaylee - 6 th grade

Cowboys are up in the morning

before daylight.

They're hitting the trail

before the sun shines bright.

They have much work to do

with they're horse and saddle

they have to move

they're long horn cattle.

The midnight sky comes,

but the coyote keeps on howling.

and on the lone prairie

the cowboys' work keeps calling.

Calves are so cute.

They run and sleep all day.

They cuddle with their moms

and they play.

I like it when they wag their tails,

while they drink their mother's milk.

and when they are all done,

their mouths look like white silk.

Some are skinny and have long legs

some have big ears, some have small.

some are fat and have short tails.

because they are all different, I love them all.
