Pirates
by Miles - 84th Grade

A pirate crew

went to a zoo

the zoo of Mr. Fanoo

and nobody goes to that zoo, mind you.

And when they found out they cried boo-hoo

for they wanted to see if they cow could moo

and the cock could coo

and if the snail had a trail of goo.

The Birds in My Back yard

by Landon - 4th grade

I wake up in the morning by

the monarchs soft song.  I

see the robin feeding her

baby's. She sees me and

tweets hello. The geese

are coming back north.

The swans are in the

lake taking their spring

bath I get dressed to go

outside with the birds

in my backyard. Spring

is here I can tell because there

are birds in my backyard.

The Wild West

by Whitley - 4th grade

The wild west is not a test

so put on your vest

and do your best

if you find a nest

you hope it's not a pest

or you'll be late for the fest

because you're the guest.

In the wild wild west.

My Family

by Makayla - 4th grade

I love my family

they are so nice

they buy me stuff that is

a good price.

I think that they love me

I know that its true

I can tell because

its inside you.

Jumpin' Jackrabbit

by Ally

Jumper jackrabbit jumped

into frolicking frog

it scared the frog so bad

that he hopped in to a log.

The log started to spin

wind blew it to and fro

frog asked, "Where am I going?"

Rabbit answered, "How should I know?"

It kept rolling fast

then he met Doofy Deer

he saw Doofy was hurt

his ear cut was severe.

They kept on going

and saw Goofy Goat

they were all in a log

that rolled on to a boat.

The boat started to go

it went very fast

they finally noticed it was a race

but they still came in last.

They were very sad

they all started to pout

the winner was jumper rabbit

they started to shout.

He went over

and talked to doofy deer

since his ear was gone

he couldn't hear.

Since he couldn't hear

he went to frog

he wouldn't listen because he

was still in a log.

Sports

by Riley - 4th Grade

I love football

it is my favorite sport

basketball is my second

I just like dribbling on the court.

Baseball not so much

lets stick to sports I like

I want to be good

just like Mike.

Let's get back to football

I don't know where to start

football just plain awesome

I just love to take part.

I love to hear the plays

like 22 fake pass

I love it when he says hut

and when my cleats spit up grass.

I love to catch passes

and run to make points

when I'm out I get a drink

after that I'm sore

especially my joints.

Swish! I made hoop

we won the game

I was so happy

the other team called me lame.

That's the end of my poem

it came from my heart

don't worry

I'm just glad I took part.
