Canyon Wind

by Josie - 3rd Grade

The other night Mike,
was reading a book about a man who sinned.
Then he heard from his open window,
whistling canyon wind.

It whistled and whistled on and on
really, really loud.
It whistled so loud,
the noise went up to the clouds.

And Mike described,
it might be a lie.
The clouds were shaking
in the sky.

He said the noise
was so loud,
that the canyon wind
was very proud.

Lawman
by Katelyn - 4th Grade

I've been chasing outlaws for a long time

but I've never had one like this.

He was as sour as a lime,

and when I tried to catch him he gave an evil hiss.

His name was Crispy Cowpie; he never had a rhyme

I caught him in moonlight; he was one I would not miss!

I told the jailer to "hang 'em up" for no more than a dime,

as I left him with the jailer, he shouted "Your horse I will not kiss!"

Laura Lou from Kalamazoo

by Laura

Laura Lou from Kalamazoo
Went to a picnic in Northern Peru
She went to a park
Filled with chickens who bark
And Laura took them all to the zoo
