Yellow Yak
by Bella - 5th grade

One time I fell into a hole

and saw a yellow yak

when he saw me he introduced himself

as a yellow yak named Jack.

I saw that he was really shy

I turned to give him room

that's when I thought I heard

his yellow rear go boom.

I scrambled around in terror

trying to get out

the noxious gasses were unbearable

as bad as sauerkraut.

I started to loose my grip on life

I knew I was slipping away

a grin was on the yellow yak's face

I was out for more than a day.

As soon as I gained consciousness

I tried to scare him away

that yak named Jack just won't get a clue

I decided to burry him in his own lay.

I never found out what happened to Jack

for an eagle carried me high

he swooped and swerved and ducked and dove

and we flew into the sky.
