Pine Hills Correctional Facility 2010
Miles City, Montana
As I ride my hoss his head turned and tossed if ya hear me singin' the blues I go by the toon of the horse shoes.
They clack and they click in a wonderful toon Durango is far behind so I'll be at the cow town soon I'm not one o drink but I mosey to the saloon I belly up to the bar and look out at the moon.
Billy walked in a revolver slung low on his hip I knew it was coming because I was tipped I look down at my beer and took a sip I rolled just in time as lead starts to rip.
I came up on my feet colts belching flame and down drops the kid who was looking for fame this is the life I would not frame its the life of the West which still is not tame.
I ride out of town at a trot that shakes ground in my ears rings the explosive sound and off again I go singing the blues and the sound I love most is that of horse shoes. ***************
Cougar Pass by Jacob
I was gliding in a canoe when nature pulled a cruel prank I was thrown overboard and had to pull myself dripping wet upon the riverbank. The I was up and on my way on this hot and humid day because of my lack of attention I stumbled and fell into foul smelling muck. I shook my head while getting up and marveled that one can have such bad luck.
I continued my walking, wondering and lost I told myself I'd find my way no matter what the cost furious and dejected I kicked a pine cone watching it land on a barely noticeable path that may be my way home.
Off I ran filled with excitement thinking I'll no longer be alone 'rounding a bend I noticed the trail was at a end. All this happened to my great dismay with a sigh I thought once again how this was not my day.
When I bothered to look around noticed o my immense relief a place where once upon a time I met a pretty lass with a smile playing about my lips I set out for what I knew as cougar pass. *****************
It Will Never Be The Same by Jon
Traveling through this holocaust of life it will never be the same no living soul can win alone in the never ending game.
The psychological murder of man burrows deep within try your hardest to overcome but its a fact; you'll never win.
Walking dead, we've all become with not a cure in sight no option to quit, or stop this war our only choice is fight.
Without strong will, you can't survive it will never be the same stand up and change, the thing you can and give yourself a name. ************
Barbed Wire
Barbed wire everywhere all along the roads containing all the animals reminds me of a rose. Every wire has it's barb like every rose has it's thorn as I grew up you can say my life was torn. Gripped around a rose or a fence with barbed wire then foot fence containing all the youth being completely honest I always tell the truth. *************
Ranch Raised by Kody
I was born and raised on this western ranch in southern Montana my 6 year old horse is a mare named Anu and where's a red bandanna.
My Dad is a hard working man most of his work is done with his hand he brand the cattle, rides in the saddle mends the fence and puts up the hay all of which makes for a very long day.
I wake in the morning from that old roosters crow looking out my window to see the sun glow then I'm getting ready to practice my long bow.
the I go inside to get the roping gear on today then step outside to see the white-tail deer at play right in front of the barns red doorway.
Man its a joy being out here in the this vast-land the beauty of God's great hand I feel as though I've been praised for having been Montana Ranch raised. *************
Family by Malley
Life without family, is hollow and lame it's filled with guilt, dead ends and shame if you live without family, I'm sorry 'bout this because your family is the one who always has your back.
If you are stuck in trouble or going through pain your family will be there until the end of time they're around to share happiness good times and fun they're around to make you know your number one.
They love you, feel for you and are always there to make you realize that they truly do care and if you've had a really rough day they're around to help, buy never in the way.
If you need help with all of life's problems trust that your family will always help solve 'em I am away from mine, stuck in a cage when I think of what I've put them through, I fill with rage.
But I'm happy to say I have a family for me when I'm done healing here they will help set me free. ***************
Cowboy is: by Wayne
A cowboy is a rounder of the cows working in the fields, horse pulling the plows a cowboy is a stew eating fiend. His mouth is full, smell a smell, I think he beaned.
A cowboy is someone who watches stars at night knowing that everything would be all right a cowboy is someone who fights for his brothers also caring about the others.
A cowboy is a person who cares about the land not scared, lust love, for the hard working hand. A cowboy is someone who is not afraid not caring one single bit of how he prayed.
A cowboy is a person who has good hair has fun and runs without a care. A cowboy is a nature child who sits and rides out in the wind.
a cowboy is an animal listener upon the night keeping his cool upon the beautiful sight. A cowboy is what you think of this a cowboy is what a cowboy is. ***************
High Lonesome by Doug
I was on a mountain in a high lonesome. No noise except for a water fountain I was feeling pretty wholesome.
While sitting here alone in a high lonesome then I headed home I was at a high lonesome.
When back where I was before seeing what I see but never getting bored wind blowing, grass flowing fire.
I was in a high lonesome third day up on this hill same place I begun What am I supposed to feel?
Confusion filling up my mind. Then I head home once again thinking what was I supposed to find as the sky seemed to turn red.
I was in a high lonesome trying to figure things out. Fourth day here, and hungers taking over I collapse to the ground to see the clouds.
Suddenly I felt it was getting colder. There I was, waiting for a sign manhood will be coming soon just a little more time.
Next thing I know up comes the moon now I'm finished with this quest in my high lonesome I finally passed the test. **************
