St Joseph Indian School Chamberlain, South Dakota
when I wanted to take a dive but then a stampede came upon me I'm not sure if the one that squish me was a he.
I am not sure but I think I got a replace I also have a reconstruction on my face when I got to the store I sat down and this lady looked at me with a frown.
Perty soon I think I got my job back but my new partner told me to cut some slack I yelled at him so loud I'm not sure but I attracted a crowd.
I was doing another cattle drive in the open space when I had to stop for a restroom place when I was walking the cattle I saw a lizard I'm not sure but he looked white as a blizzard.
So I picked it up and accidently threw it at the cattle once they got up it sounded like a battle when I was running they thought I looked like red then I ran and my partner yelled we're dead.
We were running and running to the road when I was running I tripped on a toad the stampede squished me like gum that's why I am dumb. the end **********
Mouthy Magpie by Cassity - 6th grade
One day I saw a bird in the sky it was flying way high I felt like I was going to cry so I asked a guy if he had a magpie.
He said no and asked if I wanted to buy a tie I said no thanks and started to cry on my way home I found my brother in bed with pink eye and my sister crying because she had a sty in her eye.
So I had to lie to go outside and there it was that beautiful magpie when my mom came home she had started to cry because of the lovely magpie up in the sky.
So one day I prayed to the sky asking if I could meet that magpie a day later I had seen that magpie one more time I hoped that it would come down from the sky.
It came down and sat on my shoulder so I said hi but it did not move so I sat it down and said hi once more it looked at me with those wonderful eyes I thought it was a sign, so after that I had became mine.
I loved that magpie so much and cared for it for so long that one day magpie became very old I knew that it was time so I had to say bye right before it was going to die. ***************
