The Whiskers on a Rattlesnake's Chin

by Tyler Hereim

As I was walking,

through the tall prairie grass

I met this funny rattlesnake,

he really had no class.

And that very rattlesanke

had whiskers on his chin.

I wondered as I looke at him

just where that snake had been

I finally figured out

exactly where he'd been.

He'd been in a fight with a cactus

and its very poky pins.

If you ask that rattlesnake

he'll tell you the very same.

But, as he slithered through the grass

I wondered, was he tame?

Sasquach Snot

by Ryan - 5th grade

As I walked into my room

I heard a lot of sneezing

I looked in my bathroom

and there was a sasquach wheezing.

I went into my bathroom and

I went in a snot pool

I was just about to ask him what is up

and he felt a little cool.

I went outside with him

and got a bucket of snot

and then he caught a bird to a pole

with a blue armhold sling shot.

We went to the doctor

and he said he had the flu

and when we went back

he was in really bad blues.

Fiery Lizard Breath

by Sarah - 6th grade

It was a very hot day

I was ridin' in the plains

then I saw somethin'

and pulled back on the reins.

Oh it was a sight!

There was a huge lizard on the ground

I lay down to look at his face

and fiery lizard breath is what I found.

As if he was drinkin' wasabi

my eye watered from the gust

with my nose running, I went to my bag

and grabbed a mint for that lizard as I must.

It took my whole pack of mints for him

he had a tummy ache badly

the lizard dropped dead

and I had to leave him to rot away sadly.

Horse Apples

by Derek - 6th grade

As I was walking down the road

I thought I smelt something rank

so I looked over and there it was

sittin' on the bank.

It was a big pile

of that stinky horse poo

I went over to it

and I didn't know what to do.

So I realized something

I had a plastic bag

 I put the poo in

and the bag started to sag.

So it started to cook

so I threw it on the road

and something started to eat it

it was a toad.

I picked up the toad

he smelled very bad

and I saw in his eyes

that he was very sad.

I said you shouldn't have at those horse apples

because now you're very sick

so it jumped back into the stinky bag

and I threw the bag with a stick.

Then it landed on the road

next to a peach Snapple

then here came a huge truck and ran over the bag

I said I knew he shouldn't have at those rank horse apples.
