Gallopin'
Evan - 4th grade
Oh, no! Oh, no!
move all you darn hogs!
Because out of nowhere
come gallopin' cow dogs.
They come out of nowhere,
then leave out of sight.
they don't come back till
the end of the night.
When they come back
they howl and they bark
to get rid of them you need to be a shark.
Always be alert
always be ready
always prepare to be
feeling unsteady.
A grey dog! A black dog!
What will come next?
I think that I should stop
writing in this text!
But there is one more thing
If you want to be a pro
the cow dogs always like it
when you put on a funny show!

Rabbit Tails
Latisha - 5th grade
There is nothing better than rabbit tails
there soft and fluffy
there round and short
and mine is named muffy.
they hop around but their tails stay put
they can make you smile all the time
to play with it can be fun
and they make all the bells chime.
Sometimes they get caught in the door
a rabbit shouldn't be in a cage with cute tails
they sometimes go on a rampage
and a lot of them are males.
Their too cuddley to sell
they start leaving at fall
they give dark people a chill
and fake ones can be found at the mall.
It comes and it goes
almost like its fleece as white and snow
there's lots of different kinds
and they can put on a funny show.
You'll hardly find one on the beach
which I think is totally naurly
they'd get soaked with all the waved
hey, has anyone seen Karley.

Lizard
Maggie - 6th grade
I screamed and ran away from this ting
he scurried away so he wouldn't get caught
my brother wanted to touch it
I yelled, "You better not!"
We spotted it again
it jumped at me. I ran screaming away
my brother laughed
he tried to scare me the rest of the day.
It looked very scary
he was all colorful and bumpy
his tongue was shaped like a fork
whenever I see them I get very jumpy.
My told me to get out of the house
so I sat outside
which was a really nice day
he was waiting nearby.
It lurked around a tree
he crawled up my back
I started to scream
because of that I received a crazy attack.
I jumped and squealed
he scratches very hard
his nails are very sharp
I threw it on the yard.
My mother and brother laughed
it started to scurry across the yard
I chased after it and siezed him
I saw it was a lizard and threw him down
hard.
He did not move a muscle
it looked like he had been bit
my brother asked if he could keep him
he got to keep it.

where wildlife is untouched

Praire Flowers
Dakota & Kassie - 8th grade
As we walk through the valleys
we see pretty prairie flowers
you could almost see them grow
even over the tall towers.
In the summer when the flowers are blooming
animals will show.
and eat all the grass an' weeds an' such
so we don't have to mow.
When we left the valley
we grabbed some prairie flowers
brought them to our families
sat down at home and ate some sours.
We woke that morning
checked on our flowers
went outside to check the weather
and saw some more tall towers.
Summer time is the prettiest
cause thats when we get showers.
Showers bring pretty things
like little prairie flowers.
